LASSA Executive Team (2019-20)

We are your elected executives for LASSA, the ones who organize the events, represent you to the AMS and GSS, and the ones eager to hear what you have to say. Get to know us and what we do!

Elizabeth Edgerton

Communications Officer

I am a third year Dual student who is hopefully graduating May 2020! I am originally from Seattle, WA and am in the FNCC. As LASSA Communications Officer, I am in charge of sending out the bi-weekly newsletter, advertising events and keeping the (newly created) website up to date. Cheers!

Anita Fata

Events Coordinator, MLIS, (FNCC)

After being wrangled into the world of LASSA, I’ve really enjoyed getting experience organising student orientations, trivia nights and book swaps. I’m also a volunteer co-ordinator at Out on the Shelves and interested in the world of translated lgbtq2ia+ fiction. If you have any questions, please feel free to stop and talk to me about LASSA, the iSchool, or the meaning of life.

Alvionne Gardner-Harrison

Treasurer; GSS Rep

Victoria Gomez

Co-President, MLIS; GSS Representative; Clubs Liaison

Victoria began as the LASSA clubs liaison and GSS Rep and loved serving her school so much she decided to be president! As Co-President, she chairs the meetings and does the fun admin, and as GSS Rep she has a seat on GSS Council every month where she extols the virtues of library and info knowledge and advocates for change on behalf of iSchool students. She also works with the clubs at the iSchool and supports their events!

Victoria lately enjoys video games and romance novels, and is a second-gen Chilean settler who calls Vancouver home.

Reese Irwin

Secretary

Elizabeth Leung

MaCL Representative

Nathalie McClintock

Co-President, MAS

Nathalie is in the 3rd year of her MASLIS (FNCC) with an interest in information management. She previously served as Webmaster for LASSA. Nathalie occupies her free time by winning pub quizzes, curating memes, and teaching French.

Luz Villarreal

AMS Representative; Faculty of Arts Representative

Jentry Campbell

First-Year MLIS Representative

MLIS student from Wyoming living on unceded Musqueam territory in Vancouver. Occasionally stands up in classes to announce things. Unfortunately not a corgi but still interested in all of the black squirrels in Vancouver.
